Brides-To-Be: Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to our most commonly asked questions or ask us your own question below!

Why should I shop at The Henry’s instead of online where I found the same gown for less?

Prices significantly lower than those found at an authorized bridal boutique should be a red flag raising suspicion. Anyone can create a website that looks official but beware of those that are too good to be true. Visit the Morilee website to read their warning about unauthorized websites.

Does The Henry’s have a payment plan?

Yes. Gowns purchased from our stock require a deposit of 25%. Gowns to be ordered require a deposit of 50%. The balance should be paid within six months or before you take your gown out of the store. Gowns must be paid in full prior to the beginning of alterations.

Do you offer package discounts for wedding parties?

Yes. When you purchase a full-priced wedding gown from The Henry’s, you will receive 10% off your bridal accessories, such a veil, headpiece or other item.. Tuxedo and suit rentals are also 10% off, and when your groom and his groomsmen rent five tuxedos, the sixth one is free.

How soon before my wedding should I order my bridal gown?

At least six months in advance of the wedding date. That gives ample time for your gown to be ordered and alterations to be completed.

What if shipping dates are close to my wedding date?

It may be possible for you to rush your order to get your gown here sooner. Designers will charge an extra fee to rush your order.

How do I know what size to order?

Your bust, waist, and hips will be measured by one of our bridal consultants. Together we will refer to the size chart for the designer of your gown. You will decide what size to order based on the style and fabric of the dress and where your measurements fall within the size chart.

The Henry’s contacted me to say my gown is in–now what?

As soon as possible, come to the shop to try on your gown for fit, color, and condition. It is rare for there to be anything wrong with the garment, but it does happen. The sooner we are made aware of a problem, the greater the recourse we have with the designer. We will go to bat for you to get any questions resolved.

Will I need my wedding dress altered?

Probably. Bridal gowns are made for women close to six feet tall, so you might need to have your gown shortened. The size charts from which you will select the size to order have one bust, waist, and hip measurement per size. Unless your measurements match the size chart, you will probably need a tuck or two here and there.

What do I do with my gown after the wedding?

Wedding Gown Preservation Company will clean and preserve your wedding gown, veil, and other accessories for just $329! Bring your gown and accessories to The Henry’s, pay the fee, and we will package and ship your gown to the Wedding Gown Preservation Company for you. Once it has been processed, they will ship the gown directly to you. Learn more about preserving your gown with The Henry’s.
